In today’s fashion-conscious world, a beautiful smile is highly sought after. If you weren’t born with perfect teeth, you can still achieve the smile of your dreams with the help of Invisalign. Invisalign clear aligners provide long-term solutions to orthodontic issues like crooked, misaligned, or gapped teeth so you can smile with joy and confidence. A visit to your Invisalign dentist from North Aurora Smiles, North Aurora, Illinois, can determine if you’re a good candidate for this treatment.
Invisalign takes a modern approach to orthodontics by replacing metal brackets and wires with clear, plastic aligners for straightening crooked teeth. Although traditional metal braces have their place, more people are turning to Invisalign aligners for greater comfort and discretion.
When worn, Invisalign clear aligners exert gentle pressure on your teeth to slowly realign their position. The aligners are custom-made to fit smoothly and comfortably over your teeth. Their transparent appearance makes them less conspicuous, so teens and adults feel less awkward about their treatment. The aligners are also removable to facilitate eating, brushing, and flossing.
Like traditional braces, Invisalign can correct multiple orthodontic issues to improve your oral health and boost your smile’s appearance. These include:
A consultation with our doctors can determine if Invisalign orthodontics is the best treatment for you. We’ll evaluate the state of your teeth, gums, and jaw and assess the problems that need correcting to see if you’re a good candidate for this treatment. If so, we’ll develop a treatment plan for your unique orthodontic needs.
Using digital imaging of your mouth and teeth, our doctors will customize aligners for your use. Every few weeks, you’ll change your aligners to the next set in the series to continue the process of realigning your teeth. For the aligners to work effectively, they must be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours daily despite being removable. We will schedule checkups every 4–6 weeks to keep track of your progress and tweak your treatment plan if needed.
In terms of comfort and convenience, Invisalign clear aligners have the advantage over traditional braces in straightening your teeth. With Invisalign, you don’t have to contend with metal brackets and wires poking your lips, gums, or cheeks throughout your treatment. There’s also no need for dietary restrictions, as the aligners can be removed for meals. Other advantages include:
