People in North Aurora, Illinois, understand the importance of a beautiful smile. Most people are born with naturally gorgeous smiles, but as we age, our smiles can become dim or otherwise damaged in ways that affect not only our confidence but also the health of our mouths.
Our beautiful natural smiles can be affected by several different things, including injuries, decay, acidity, and discoloring food/drink. Sometimes, teeth can even be so misaligned or misshapen that restoring a beautiful smile needs to be done with porcelain veneers. The good news is that when you invest in porcelain veneers to restore your smile, you can regain the gorgeous smile you had when you were younger. Fortunately, our dentists at North Aurora Smiles are here to help you restore your best smile.
Porcelain veneers can best be described as an elective cosmetic treatment that uses ultra-thin pieces of porcelain that are custom-designed to transform a smile entirely. Basically, porcelain veneers can disguise imperfections that exist on natural teeth. A dental veneer is bonded onto the front of your natural tooth to conceal imperfections affecting your smile’s appearance.
Porcelain veneers are perfect for fixing several different dental imperfections. Below are some of the flaws that can be disguised with veneers.
If you have imperfections on the teeth at the front of your smile, you are probably an excellent candidate for veneers. Porcelain veneers are an excellent investment because they will last ten years or even longer if you take proper care of them. In fact, porcelain veneers last much longer than some other cosmetic dentistry options, so they are definitely the best choice if your budget allows for them.
When you invest in porcelain veneers, you’re putting a valuable investment into your health and well-being.
It’s essential to practice good oral hygiene when you have veneers because these veneers are a cosmetic fix. Just as you did before getting veneers, you need to brush and floss twice a day thoroughly, and you need to visit your dentist for your regular checkups and cleanings.
If your goal is to improve your smile and restore your natural confidence, porcelain veneers are probably a good fit for you.
